The participation of landscape architects in upgrading effort of the city centre throws up more challenges due to their peculiar nature. This study set out to identify the challenges that face designers in sustainable landscape planning for urban upgrading of historic city centres. Historic city centres attract upgrading because they are the older part of the urban setting and are prone to sprawl, congestion, property fragmentation, slum proliferation and degeneration. The need to bring sustainability into landscape planning for such areas requires more effort from landscape architects bearing in mind that landscape planning is just a part of the general upgrade planning which requires the input of residents, government, stakeholders, facilitators and technocrats. This study is based on literature and was conducted by topic-mining in the Science Citations Index (SCI) and Social Studies Citations Index (SSCI) in Web of Science citations. The major findings and conclusions from the search topics were streamlined to arrive at the best intersections of the problems of urban upgrading in historic city centres and the peculiarity of sustainable landscape planning. The study identified loss of urban heritage values, lack of inclusiveness, gentrification and diminished socio-cultural legacy as the major problems of past urban upgrade programmes in historic city centres. It also identified the need to encourage bio-diversity, resilience and socio-ecological balance even within the appeal of aesthetics as vital to sustainable landscape planning. It concluded that creating awareness among all participants of the upgrade process and freeing-up outdoor space are vital to integrating sustainable landscape planning into urban upgrading of historic city centres.
Folahan Anthony Adenaike Joseph Akinlabi Fadamiro Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-01-12 2024-01-12 3 1 01 10 Regarding the attitudes of men and women in congregational worship: hermeneutic study of 1 timothy 2:8-15 https://synstojournals.com/multi/article/view/95
The development of a woman's way of dressing and the attitude of men in worship currently continues to change and the problem is that the attitude of men and women in worship continues to transform according to the contemporary context, but in the text of 1 Timothy 2:8-15 in the context of the text having a critical historical background study which of course will always be relevant until later in its theological meaning to be analyzed and interpreted, the author tries to study it in a hermeneutic study with the aim of finding out the contextual meaning that can be achieved in the modern era regarding how to dress and behave in worship. The research method used is a qualitative research method to find the theological meaning of the text. Through this discussion the author will offer research results as a new perspective but in accordance with the hermeneutic study of the text to reveal the meaning of the text 1 Timothy 2:8-15 and how both women and men can worship before God and be saved. My thesis in this research is that both Adam, namely men, and Eve, namely women, can worship in the midst of congregational fellowship. The liver is the largest organ in the body and weighs approximately 1.3 kg in adults. The liver has one of the most important and largest metabolic functions in the body as it contributes to the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats and works to synthesize a number of raw materials For proteins such as albumin and fibrinogen, it works on the production of different enzymes, formation and secretion of bile, and is responsible for removing poisoning or mitigating the toxic properties of some substances and drugs (drug intoxication), as well as working on storing proteins, glycogen, and various vitamins and minerals. study the association stuck between liver disease (LD) and concentration of gene predisposition with develop of liver diseases.
Antesar Rheem Obead Fadhel Omarn Essa Haider Rasol Abbass Alwahami Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-01-24 2024-01-24 3 1 16 25 Review: studying nurses' views on the education program against toxoplasmosis in pregnant women https://synstojournals.com/multi/article/view/100
Toxoplasma gondii is a common protozoon in nature, and felines are usually the main hosts. While acute T. gondii infection does not cause a significant problem in adults with normal immune systems, it can lead to serious fetal infections in pregnant women due to congenital toxoplasmosis. Acute T. gondii infection in a pregnant mother can be fatal to the fetus. Transmission of toxoplasmosis to the fetus may occur in pregnant women who contract the disease during pregnancy. Women who are infected before becoming pregnant are not at risk. The important point to note here is toxoplasmosis during pregnancy. Toxoplasmosis is considered a serious epidemic in Takkar Governorate, Iraq. This is why the importance of this study emerges. This study aimed to evaluate the opinions of nurses working in the Tikar province of Iraq regarding the training program implemented to improve their knowledge and attitudes towards toxoplasmosis in pregnant women. Thus, it is planned to strengthen the knowledge of nurses in Tikar about this disease that causes serious fetal infections in pregnant women, to increase their awareness through a training program on protecting pregnant women from toxoplasmosis and effectively treating pregnant women exposed to T. gondii. Results of the congenital toxoplasmosis program in Londrina, Parana, Brazil, show a reduction in the number of pregnant women and children referred to toxoplasmosis treatment facilities. Additionally, the development of protocols is important in establishing security standards.
AL-Saeedi Majid Frhan Dhmaid Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-02-05 2024-02-05 3 1 26 31 The effectiveness of the health beliefs model-based interventions on the health beliefs around drug use among female high school students https://synstojournals.com/multi/article/view/102
Background: There has been a longstanding belief that drug usage is predominantly a problem limited to urban and inner-city regions.
